Dr. Debbie Marks (shown in teal scrubs) and the entire Emergency Department staff Ukiah Valley Medical Center took part in “Every 15 Minutes” reenactment for the Potter Valley High School.
The program was created by the California Highway Patrol in an effort to deliver the message that driving while intoxicated can be deadly. So deadly, in fact, it kills someone every 15 minutes.
“Every 15 Minutes” which was held in April was so realistic that emergency crews roll in, lights and sirens on, just as if it were a real emergency. Additionally the entire ER staff was involved to try to “save” victims. When they can’t save one victim her body is taken to the Mendocino County Sheriff/Coroner’s Office.
